Where Interact Worldwide Works

Through some 30 partnerships in Africa, Asia and Latin America, Interact Worldwide supports local organisations, communities, and networks in target countries to develop programmes that address sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV/AIDS in a manner that is appropriate and effective in the specific local context. We assist partner organisations in securing funding and we provide technical assistance throughout the life of the programme in areas such as financial management, strategic development, monitoring & evaluation, and various technical issues.

Many marginalised groups, such as women, young people, people living with HIV/AIDS, and men who have sex with men remain underserved by generalised health responses. Interact Worldwide's programmes focus on empowering marginalised groups and increasing their access to SRH and HIV/AIDS services.

Interact Worldwide works in some of the poorest countries and settings in the world. We aim to work in the countries that have the worst sexual and reproductive health indicators, as these data indicate populations with the greatest need. These indicators include poverty levels, STI and HIV rates, gender iniquities, maternal mortality rate, female average age at first marriage or union, and other factors that affect people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights.
