Support from Trusts
How to turn your grant into 4 times the value.....
Interact Worldwide enjoys an enviable reputation for the quality of its projects overseas and, as a result, has been very successful in obtaining grants from institutional donors such as the EC and DFID. However, these donors do not always cover the full cost of the projects they support. The EC fund 75% of implementing a project leaving Interact Worldwide to raise the remainder, termed 'matched funding', from its supporters.
Interact Worldwide needs ongoing support to help us to continue to test innovative solutions and sustain high levels of financial accountability and technical expertise. In 2008 we are also seeking matched funding contributions for 3 EC funded projects. Any contribution would be extremely valuable in its own right, but for every £1 raised, Interact Worldwide would leverage an additional £3 from the EC.
Your support could make a significant difference:
- It costs £4,528 to restore, staff and equip a disused rural clinic in India, offering essential new health services to communities that suffer high rates of maternal and infant mortality. The EC would match this sum with £18,109.
- Just £15,534 could help us launch an HIV and AIDS education programme in Pakistan. This sum could help us to offer vital information on HIV and sexual and reproductive health to sex workers and other high risk groups in Pakistan, and release a further £62,136 from the EC to help develop essential clinical and care services for these groups, reaching over 200,000 affected people.
- £30,689 could help to launch a sexual and reproductive health programme aimed at young people in West Bengali, India, helping to protect them from unwanted pregnancy and HIV/AIDS. This sum would release £153,445 from the EC to roll out similar youth work in neighboring Jharkhand which could serve a total of over 10 million vulnerable adolescents.
These projects are just a few examples of the many ways you can support our work. For information on current projects in need of funding, please go to the links below:
