Interact Worldwide Advocacy

Advocacy activities seek to influence people in positions of power in order to challenge poverty, health inequality, discrimination and violation of rights.

Interact Worldwide provides technical assistance to our Southern partners to undertake local and national advocacy and to support marginalised people to represent their own concerns in governance processes.

Interact Worldwide's London based Policy and Advocacy Team engages with key decision makers to relay the concerns of Southern partner organisations and the communities they work in.

We work to influence UK leadership to support national plans for universal access to HIV and AIDS services by 2010 and universal access to reproductive health services by 2015 within a strengthened health sector by playing a leadership role in UK networks of SRH and HIV advocates.

We work across Europe, in partnership with other global health advocates, to improve policy and increase funding for global health particularly in the areas of maternal health and sexual and reproductive health supplies and commodities.

We also target international organisations such as the Global Fund and United Nations institutions by promoting good practice and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
